From August 25 to 28, President Li Lu led a delegation to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). During the visit, in addition to paying tribute to Dr. Henry Hu Hung-lick, Barrister and Founder of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, President Li Lu and his delegation met with Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, the Fifth Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Wang Weiming, Director of the Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry; Dr. Christine Choi Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education; Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, President of Hong Kong Metropolitan University; Tu Wenwei, President of the Hong Kong Association of Overseas-Returned Scholars; Mr. Paul Yip Kwok-wah, Director of the Yew Chung Education Foundation; and Mr. Yang Yong, President of Bauhinia Magazine. The meetings aimed to further strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong’s academic, scientific, and cultural communities in talent cultivation, scientific research, and cultural exchange.

At Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Yan Hong, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Zhejiang Shuren University, held in-depth discussions with Prof. Alan Au Kai-ming, Vice President of HKMU and Dean of the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. The talks focused on enhancing the “3+1” undergraduate joint training program in business administration, expanding cooperation in talent cultivation from undergraduate to master’s level in estate management, developing courses in sports management (MPA), and fostering cross-boundary public administration professionals. Both sides expressed the desire to jointly explore new models of internationalized talent development and to promote the coordinated advancement of regional economy and education. President Paul Lam Kwan-sing of HKMU noted that he hopes future cooperation between the two universities will enter a new stage in areas such as higher education resource sharing, interdisciplinary integration, and research innovation, thereby injecting new momentum into meeting the business talent needs of the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.

President Li Lu also paid a special visit to Mr. Winston Sheung-shing LEE, President of the Federation of Alumni Associations of Mainland Universities in Hong Kong, and his wife Mrs. Lee Pik-Tsong; Dr. Dan Yang Wing-man, Justice of the Peace, recipient of the Bronze Bauhinia Star, and Chairman of Wah Fu Petroleum Co. Ltd. and ALFAX ORIENT LTD; as well as Ms. TSO Shing Yuk Alice, Secretary General of the International Home Care Nurses Organization and Chairwoman of FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE HOME HEALTH & NURSING LTD. President Li expressed sincere gratitude for their generous support to the University through educational donations in celebration of its 40th Anniversary.
