Vice President Ye Shiping Meets with Delegation from Kyungwoon University, South Korea

On the afternoon of June 5, a delegation of five from Kyungwoon University, South Korea, led by Vice President Choi Hoseong, paid a visit to our university. The delegation included Shin Hyung-soo, Dean of the Graduate Nursing and Health Sciences Department, Song Jung, Director of the Institute of International Affairs, Cho Hyunjun, Professor of the School of Global Studies. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as discipline development and talent cultivation, outlining a new blueprint for future cooperation. Vice President Ye Shiping attended the meeting. Also present at the exchange were Wan Guowei, Director of the Office of International Affairs, Chen Weizhe, Executive Dean of the Shulan International Medical College, Zhu Hongying, Dean of the Modern Service Research Institute, Wu Ronglan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs, Li Jinxian, Korean language instructor from the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages, and Zhang Chaonan, Foreign Affairs Liaison Officer of the Shulan International Medical College.

At the meeting, Vice President Ye Shiping extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Kyungwoon University. He reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between our university and Korean institutions in recent years, and highlighted the achievements made in the university’s development. He expressed the expectation that this visit would further expand the areas of collaboration and enhance the level of partnership. He pointed out that the two universities shared many commonalities in terms of discipline structure and talent cultivation goals, and looked forward to deepening cooperation in multiple fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. Vice President Choi Hoseong expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception extended by our university. He briefly introduced the recent developments of Kyungwoon University and emphasized that, as a young institution, the university had been enhancing its competitiveness and influence through innovation and accelerated internationalization. He expressed the hope to carry out diverse and multi-faceted cooperation and exchanges with our university in the future, in order to jointly cultivate more high-caliber professionals for both China and South Korea.

The visit by the Kyungwoon University delegation further enhanced mutual understanding and trust between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for broader and deeper cooperation in the future. Looking forward, the two universities will take this visit as an opportunity to accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects, continuously expand areas of collaboration, explore innovative models of partnership, and jointly cultivate high-caliber talents with global vision and innovative capabilities, contributing to the advancement of educational exchange and cooperation between China and South Korea.
