The 2025 evaluation results of scientific research competitiveness among Chinese private universities were recently released. With outstanding research strength and a strong momentum of high-quality development, Zhejiang Shuren University secured the top position on the Natural Sciences Ranking. Notably, Zhejiang Shuren University is the only university that received an A++ rating in both the Natural Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences rankings across China. The university also ranked first in the 2025 Comprehensive Ranking of Private Universities with the Best Research Ecology (covering both liberal arts and sciences), highlighting the strong momentum of its interdisciplinary development in both science and humanities.

Looking ahead, Zhejiang Shuren University will take the Outline of the Plan for Building a Leading Country in Education (2024–2035) as its guiding framework and continue to advance the following key initiatives: Firstly, to deepen reform and innovation in the research system and mechanisms to stimulate creativity and vitality; Secondly, to optimize and refine the structure of disciplines and academic programs to strengthen distinctive advantages; Thirdly, to comprehensively enhance research and innovation capabilities to promote the transformation of research outcomes. By implementing multiple strategies and maintaining sustained efforts, Zhejiang Shuren University will strive to open up new prospects for building a high-level, application-oriented, and comprehensive university, making greater contributions to the development of a strong educational nation.
