On the morning of June 10, Zhejiang Shuren University’s 2025 Commencement, themed “Brilliant as the Stars · Forging Ahead at Shuren,” was held concurrently at two main venues located at Gongchenqiao and Yangxunqiao Campuses. University leaders, heads of relevant functional departments, school and institute officials, along with advisors for graduates, faculty representatives, and all graduates of Grade 2025 assembled to commemorate this unforgettable moment together.

At the ceremony, President Li Lu delivered an inspiring micro-lecture titled “Perceiving Change, Seeking Change, Making Change.” He began with the lotus blossoms at the Yangxunqiao Campus as a symbol for the concepts of “change” and “constancy,” urging the graduates to cultivate the inner wisdom and strength of “meeting a myriad of changes with unshaken steadfastness.” He encouraged the students of Grade 2025 to emulate the lotus: emerging unstained from the mud and unbroken in the wind and rain, “to break through and emerge as leaders in the competition”, and to navigate steadily and far through the currents of change and tests of adversity. President Li wished all graduates to be “brilliant as the stars, with a bright future within reach,” and hoped they would each blossom in their own, “unique red glory.”
At this poignant moment filled with farewell’s melancholy and future’s promise, representatives of Grade 2025 expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their alma mater, teachers, and classmates—each speaking on behalf of their colleges. Their speeches were imbued with the deep bonds and reluctance to part formed during their studying at Zhejiang Shuren University.
