On June 7, the Experimental Skills Contest of the 5th Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers in Zhejiang Province, hosted by the Laboratory Work Branch of Zhejiang Province Association of Higher Education, was held at Hangzhou Normal University. Two teachers from our university, namely Liu Lijuan from the School of Biology and Environmental Engineering (including the Interdisciplinary Research Academy), and Chen Hongbo from the School of Economics and Management, led their respective teaching teams to success. In late April, their teams won the First Prize in the university-wide preliminary round and advanced to the provincial finals for on-site innovation presentations. In preparation for the finals, both teachers followed expert feedback and carried out multiple rounds of revision and improvement within a limited time frame. After intense competition, Liu Lijuan’s team earned the First Prize in the Science, Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine category with their project Reform and Exploration of Basic Microbiology Experiments Aimed at Cultivating Comprehensive Innovation Capabilities; Chen Hongbo’s team received the Second Prize in the Humanities and Social Sciences category for their project Experiment for Summer Ice Brewed Tea Beer Preparation. Furthermore, our university received the Outstanding Organization Award for its excellent coordination and support throughout the competition.
