On the morning of November 6th, on the occasion of the upcoming 40th anniversary of the founding of the university and the high-quality development conference, the Opening Ceremony of the "Road of Shuren" History Museum and the Unveiling Ceremony of Mr. Wang Jiayang's Statue was held on Yangxunqiao Campus. All of the university leaders, Ms. Wang Xidong, daughter of the university founder and Lifelong Honorary President Mr. Wang Jiayang, Mr. Meng Yunsheng, former secretary of Mr. Wang Jiayang and former vice president of the China Academy of Art, Mr. Tong Guoyao, former vice president of the university and anniversary consultant, representatives of alumni who donated money for the statue of Mr. Wang Jiayang, leaders of various schools and departments, alumni representatives, representatives of the construction party, and representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university.

At the ceremony, President Li Lu, Party Secretary Zhang Qing, Ms. Wang Xidong and Mr. Meng Yunsheng jointly unveiled the statue of Mr. Wang. It is reported that more than 40 alumni from the classes of 1985, 1986 and 1987 spontaneously donated money to remember and commemorate Mr. Wang Jiayang, and built a statue of Mr. Wang with the support of the Wang Kuancheng Education Foundation of the university. The statue was designed by Professor Li Xiuqin of the China Academy of Art, and Mr. Wang's relatives, Meng Yunsheng and Tong Guoyao paid a lot of effort for the construction of the statue.

The retired leaders of the university at all levels have always been concerned about the development of the university. Chen Wenshao, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, served as the Chairman of the fifth Board of Directors and the Vice Chairman of the sixth Board of Directors of the university, laying a solid foundation for improving the scale, level and level of the university's development. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the university, Chairman Chen Wenshao donated 40 volumes of his poetry collection to the university as a celebration gift. At the ceremony, President Li Lu was entrusted by Chairman Chen Wenshao to donate on his behalf, and Director Chen Weifang of Ho Tin Library accepted books on behalf of the library.

Then, the new book launch ceremony of The Love for Shuren University was held. Through interviews with some of the people who have made important contributions to the development of Shuren University in the past 40 years, the book (Volume 1) shows the hardships of the development of Shuren, the perseverance of the appointment in Shuren, and the sincerity of caring about Shuren University, in order to pay tribute to all the people who have made efforts for the development of Shuren University! From the perspective of current students and in the order of graduation time of alumni, the book (Volume 2) presents the growth course of each alumnus and tells the story of their efforts to become the "pride of Shuren" by adhering to the university's motto of "Respecting Virtue and Intelligence Based on Educating People". At the launch ceremony, the university leaders Chen Xinmin, Ye Shiping, Lu Guiqin and Feng Shujuan presented new books to the guests and five colleges respectively, namely Chenyang, Shangde, Mingzhe, Qingmao and Haomo.

Finally, Zhang Qing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, delivered a speech. In his speech, he pointed out that the story of Mr. Wang Jiayang and others founding Shuren University was very touching. The university erected the statue of Mr. Wang Jiayang for commemoration, admiration and inheritance, hoping that all the teachers and students of the university will follow the example of Mr. Wang Jiayang, and inherit and carry forward the spirit of Shuren of "innovation, commitment, dedication and devotion". He stressed that, "the history museum of the university is an important cultural coordinate of the university, which truly, vividly and comprehensively reproduces the stories of generations of Shureners educating talents for the country, and establishing the university with an unwavering will and painstaking efforts". It is necessary to build, operate and manage the history museum well, give full play to the educational role of the history museum, and take visiting the history museum as a "compulsory course" for new student orientation and pre-job training of teachers, a "must-visit spot" for alumni returning to the university, and a "window" for receiving visitors and displaying the development history and achievements of the university.

After the ceremony, our leaders, guests and representatives of teachers and students visited the "Road of Shuren" History Museum of the university. Located in the exhibition hall of Yangshunqiao Campus, the history museum is a microcosm of the forty-year development course of Shuren, which allows teachers, students, alumni and people from all walks of life to understand the start-up story of the university from scratch to fruitful achievements by means of scene reconstruction, physical display and multimedia interaction, to feel the sincere spirit of defying difficulties and educating talents for the country, and to appreciate the brilliant achievements through working together and keeping marching forward.
