[Shuren's 40^th Anniversary] President Song Yonghua of the University of Macau Visited Our University and Attended Its 40th Anniversary and High-Quality Development Conference

From November 7 to November 8, President Song Yonghua of the University of Macau visited our university. The visit began with a productive exchange between President Li Lu, Party Secretary Zhang Qing, Vice President Ye Shiping, Deputy Secretary Wang Jun, Chen Zhi, Executive Deputy Director of the Academic Committee, and Wang Yun, Director of the Office for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs. The discussions centered on deepening faculty and student exchanges, research cooperation, and academic engagement.

As part of the visit, President Song delivered an address at the 40^th Anniversary and High-Quality Development Conference, extending heartfelt congratulations to Zhejiang Shuren University on this significant milestone. He presented a report titled "Reform and Innovation in Universities Amidst Centenary Changes - The Role and Practices of the University of Macau," wherein he analyzed current challenges and strategies for response from various perspectives, including human society, national development, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Macau, and higher education reform. He highlighted the unique roles and responsibilities of the University of Macau in regional development and education, and elaborated on the university's practices through the SERVE framework.
