From May 19th to 21st, the final of the 18th "Challenge Cup" Competition on the Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works of College Students in Zhejiang Province was held in Hangzhou Normal University. The team “Yimai Xiangcheng” of our university won the gold award for its entry “Combination of Four Approaches of Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment and Science Popularization -- Key Technological Innovation in Combating Emerging Infectious Diseases”, and achieved zero breakthrough of the gold award for the first time. At the same time, our university also won three silver awards and nine bronze awards, and the Youth League Committee of our university won the "Best Improvement Award", achieving the best results in the history of our university participating in this competition!

The “Challenge Cup” competition is known as the “Olympic” event of scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship for college students in China. And it is the most popular national competition that the college students pay the most attention to in China, and the most representative, authoritative, demonstrative, and trend-setting competition for college students in China. Since the launch of this competition, more than 50,000 college students from a total of 103 universities in this province have participated in the competition with 11077 pieces of works. After the selection in semi-finals, a total of 273 pieces of works from 51 universities were selected for the provincial finals of the competition, which included 3 of our university.
