In the afternoon of Sep. 15, 8 guests, led by President Shen Xi and Vice President Xu Aijun of Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University, visit our university for research. Our President Li Lu, Vice President Chen Jun, and relevant colleagues from the Office of the Party Committee, the Office of the University, the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Assets and Laboratory Management, the Office of Research and Social Cooperation, and the Interdisciplinary Research Academy of our university attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Chen Jun.

On the meeting, President Li Lu firstly expressed a warm welcome to the visit of President Shen Xi and other visitors on behalf of our university, he said that our university was currently speeding up the construction of disciplines and the application for master's degree program, towards the goal of "famous university that is non-government funded", and he hoped that both universities would further deepen the exchange and cooperation, and promote the common development of both parties through experience sharing and mutual support on the basis of fostering virtue through education.

And then, Vice President Chen Jun introduced the development history, current development status, development achievements and development vision of Shuren University, and explained the talent training, discipline development and scientific research of our university.

Liu Weiping, Dean of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy, introduced the basic situations of the construction and development of the Academy, such as, teaching platform, scientific research, and social services. He said that the Academy was actively building a demonstration platform of "gathering talents, sharing teaching resource and serving the society" to promote the quality improvement and upgrading of the university.

President Shen Xi expressed his gratitude to President Li Lu for his warm reception, fully recognized the achievements of our university in the high-quality and connotative development with the goal of "famous university that is non-government funded", and highly praised the mission, talent introduction, development characteristics and scientific research achievements of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy. He briefly introduced the development of Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University, and hoped that both universities would further strengthen the cross-disciplines and discipline integration and promote the high-quality development of both universities in the future.

At the meeting, both parties discussed the construction of interdisciplinary science research platform, the operation and management of the analysis and testing center, the sharing of large instruments and the evaluation of their utilization benefits.

Before the meeting, President Shen Xi and other visitors, accompanied by Vice President Chen Jun, visited all kinds of laboratories as well as the education, teaching, and office areas of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy.
