Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education announced the second batch of training objects’ list for the "Leading Talent Training Plan for Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province" (referred to as the "5246 Talent Project"). After personal applications, school recommendations, expert selections, deliberations by the Party Committee of the Provincial Department of Education and other procedures - Fu Changchun, Ji Chenyang, Xu Xiaoling and Jie Wanchen from ZJSRU were selected as outstanding young talents. So far, a total of 13 teachers from ZJSRU have been selected into the program.

The "5246 Talent Project" is a valuable distinction implemented by Zhejiang Province to accelerate the development of high-level talents in colleges and universities further promoting the strengthening of Zhejiang’s higher education. It aims to build a support system for cascade training and the sustainable development of high-level talents and high-level teams in colleges and universities, providing talent support and intellectual security for the high-quality development and construction of a common prosperity demonstration zone in Zhejiang Province.

In recent years, ZJSRU has aimed at becoming a "famous private school", focussing on discipline construction, talent training and the construction of scientific and technological innovation systems to prioritise the improvement of the teachers abilities, strengthening ZJSRU via talents, and constantly optimising teacher training measures. Through the implementation of systems such as "special researcher posts", "cultivating special positions for scholars" and "PI system construction", it has opened up a "green channel" for the emergence of high-level talents in ZJSRU, becoming an important reserve force for the selection of leading talent and top talent, promoting the sustained and rapid growth of ZJSRU talent.
