"Please tell me what are the advantages of holding the Asian Games in Hangzhou?" From March 5th to 6th, the interview and selection of volunteers for the Hangzhou Asian Games of our university was in full swing in the two campuses. The 2022 Asian Games and Asian Para Games in Hangzhou are an important window for Zhejiang to show China's brilliant achievements and image of a great country to the world, and the volunteers of the Games are the most beautiful name card. During the interview, the leaders of the Hangzhou Asian Games Volunteer Department and Shaoxing Youth League Committee and Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee came to the interview rooms for guidance.

Since the launch of the global recruitment of volunteers for the Hangzhou Asian Games last year, our university started both online and offline mobilization and publicity, attracting 2,551 candidates signing up successfully in total. After the first round of interview selection, a total of 985 students entered this round of interview, and the students who participated in the interview covered all majors of our university. The interviewers for this interview were composed of the person in charge of the venue, the teachers from the Youth League Committee of the university, the English teachers and the teachers whom led teams. Structured interview was adopted, with each group of 8 people. The interview content included three parts: self-introduction and questions and answers in Chinese and English.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the interview, the Youth League Committee of the University comprehensively surveyed the students’ situation in the early stage, accurately allocated the interview time, carefully designed the interview process, and provided careful guidance services on the day to avoid crowd congestion and long waiting, to let students complete the interview in a comfortable and smooth atmosphere. For students who were unable to participate in the interview due to the epidemic, the Youth League Committee of our university also designed the "cloud interview", so that every student who actively signed up had the opportunity.

The volunteers of the Asian Games represent the style of Chinese youth. In the later stage, the university will start unified curriculum training for the selected volunteers to ensure that the volunteers serve the game with a professional and standardized qualification, showing the enthusiasm and professionalism of the youth in Zhejiang, and narrate the stories of the youth in Zhejiang well through this window!
