Our University Was Invited to Attend China-Philippines Video Symposium on Talent Cultivation of Modern Service Industry

Our university was invited to attend the first session of China-Philippines Video Symposium on Talent Cultivation of Modern Service Industry jointly held by National E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, Philippine Higher Education Commission and Philippine-Sino Education and Technology Promotion on December 13. Related personnel from Department of International Exchange and Cooperation and Modern Service Research Institute of our university attended the symposium and made speeches.

Marilou Orossio, a supervision education planning specialist of Philippine Higher Education Department, Romlyn Gallingan, a secondary education supervisor, president of Sino-Philippine Silk Road Academy, president of Philippine-Sino Education and Technology Promotion, Zhang Hongyang, dean of Sino-Philippine Housekeeping School of Zhejiang Shuren University, executive vice director of National E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, and Lu Chunyang, Director of the Belt and Road E-commerce Valley Project Development Board, attended the Symposium and made speeches.

Dr. Wang Qunlong, a vice president of Modern Service Research Institute of our university made a speech of Deepen industry-teaching integration and cultivate Housekeeping talents of high quality, to introduce the universitys experience about housekeeping talent cultivation with the principles of cross-discipline cultivation, cooperated talent cultivation based on industry and study and integration between abilities and quality based on industry-teaching integration and discipline cooperation on three layers, i.e., actuality, practice and realization. In addition, he shared related achievements of the university in the housekeeping and services for the aged of 27 years.

On the symposium, Wang Shuxia, president of China Home Service Association, introduced development conditions of the housekeeping industry in our country. Universities from Philippines such as Lyceum of the Philippines University, University of Perpetual Help System, De La Salle University and The Batangas State University, as well as Chinese universities and colleges such as Changsha District Vocational Technical College and Ningbo College of Health Sciences made speeches. The symposium aimed to deepen Sino-Philippines vocational education exchange and cooperation, especially bilateral and multilateral cooperation in fields such as standard cooperation, professional certification, course development, teacher cultivation, student exchange, skill competition, entrepreneurship incubation and industry cooperation in modern service industry talent cultivation. Participants conducted in-depth exchange based on experts reports, experience sharing and project exchange, to reach multiple consensuses.
