Guided by Ministry of Science and Technology and jointly sponsored by the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology and Zhejiang Department of Science and Technology, the 6th China Innovation Challenge (Zhejiang) and 2021 Zhejiang Technical Demand “List of Successful Candidates” Competition in Peak Carbon Dioxide Emission and Carbon Neutrality were started in Jiande of Hangzhou in the morning of October 26. The competition was highly noticed by leaders of Jiande, and experts from universities and enterprises were invited as judges.
Three companies from 88 were selected to publish three technology innovated projects, i.e., Research and Demonstration of Environmental Governance Technologies in Agriculture and Villages,Carbon Neutrality in Pulping and Papermaking Process and Reutilization of Wasted MaterialsandNano-level Calcium Hydroxide Desulfurizer. Totally one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes were awarded.
The competition was divided into two stages.The first stage was the field exhibition process. Firstly, existing problems and demands were proposed by enterprises, and three teams competed for each demand. Next, participating teams exhibit solutions and technical points through PPT aiming at demands of enterprises. Finally, the other two groups of participation teams and field experts asked questions aiming at solutions, and experts gave grades on the field.The scores given by experts stood for 90% of the total scores of the teams.The scone stage mainly included the quotation link, which stood for 10% of the total scores of the teams.
On behalf of Biology and Environmental Protection Research Institute of Zhejiang Shuren University, Dr. Mao Yunqin and Dr. Pan Xinrong from School of Biology and Environmental Engineering took peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality as the entry point, to exhibit the pretreatment effect of micro aeration heat treatment to residual sludge. Finally, the team won the second prize with the average scores of 86.6.
China Innovation Challenge is a national competition promoting scientific and technological achievement transformation with the core of demands sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology. It was the fifth year for our province to hold China Innovation Challenge.
