Zhao Yan, Dean of School of Art, Was Invited to Attend the 10th International Poster Biennale

“The 10th China International Poster Biennale (CIPB)”was opened in Tianmuli Nomadism Gallery (Hangzhou) at 4: 00 pm of November 21. This session of China International Poster Biennale was sponsored by China Academy of Art and Zhejiang Artists Association, and was undertaken by School of Design Art of China Academy of Art, Art Council for Graphic Design of Zhejiang Artists Association and China International Design Museum of China Academy of Art. It aims to present diversified development as well as innovation and exploration of global poster design, to promote cultural exchanges and references in international graphic design.

This session of China International Poster Biennale has received 5872 works of 1636 designers from 39 countries and regions.It is the poster design competition of the highest standard in China, and is one of the poster competitions and exhibitions with the most attention in the international graphic design field.


As the founder of China International Poster Biennale and a member of the Academic Board, and the dean of School of Art of Zhejiang Shuren University, Professor Zhao Yan was invited to attend the biennale and make a speech. After that, Dean Zhao exchanged with honored guests and judges of the biennale about development of poster design in the future. They agreed that the sense of accumulated overlaying presented by posters not only brings in visual impact and shock but also spans the history development of 18 years, and is also the way to express design concepts and ideas behind tens of thousands of works.


Dean Zhao was invited to attend the biennale, to provide an important opportunity for our school to improve the development level of the visual communication design specialty and take efforts to achieve “the top specialty in our province”. At the same time, it reflects the significant improvement of the visual communication design specialty of our school in recent years.
