On May 26, the 2026 Zhejiang College Students’ Wushu Championship (Division A), jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, concluded successfully at Pinghu Sports Center. Guided by the theme of “Unity, Endeavor, Civility, and Education”, the event attracted more than 400 student-athletes from nearly 40 universities across the province.

Competing with composure, determination, and fighting spirit, four athletes from our university’s Taekwondo Team stood out in the fierce competition, ultimately clinching two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals. One of our athletes was honored with the title of “Outstanding Athlete”, and Coach Xu Bin from the Center of Physical Education, Aesthetic Education and Labor Education received the “Outstanding Coach” award. The team delivered an excellent performance and won honors for the university.
During the competition, the team members upheld the martial arts spirit of “beginning and ending with courtesy”. Their precise techniques and enthusiastic spirit demonstrated solid skills and strong will, embodying the sportsmanship of “Courtesy, Integrity, Patience, Self-restraint and Indomitability”.

This achievement fully demonstrates the fruitful outcomes of our philosophy of “educating students through sports and promoting holistic development”. Going forward, the Center of Physical Education, Aesthetic Education and Labor Education will continue to promote the popularization of Taekwondo programs and the cultivation of talents, contributing to the high-quality development of sports at our university.
