From May 15 to 17, the 24th Zhejiang Provincial College Students’ Structural Design Competition was held at Hangzhou City University. A total of 103 teams from 50 universities and colleges across Zhejiang Province took part. Representing the School of Urban Construction of our university, the team “Wangwang Xiaoxiaosu” won the First Prize, while the team “Tourbillon” received the Third Prize. With these excellent achievements, our university once again secured qualification for the National College Students’ Structural Design Competition.

To prepare for the provincial competition, the School of Urban Construction organized a campus-level selection contest in early April to identify outstanding competitors. Throughout the preparation process, faculty advisors and student team members worked closely together, repeatedly refining their design concepts and continuously optimizing their structural models. So far, the School of Urban Construction has won the First Prize in this competition for ten consecutive years.
Moving forward, the School of Urban Construction will continue to promote “learning and teaching through competitions”, deepen practical teaching reform, and cultivate students’ abilities in creative thinking, technological innovation, design practice and entrepreneurship (“four core competencies”), injecting strong momentum into the university’s goal of building a high-level applied university.
