Omani Ministry of Education Delegation Led by Deputy Minister Majid Al-Bahri Visits Zhejiang Shuren University

On May 13, an Omani educational informatization delegation visited our university for a focused study on AI+education applications and smart campus development. The delegation was led by His Excellency Majid Al-Bahri, Deputy Minister of Education of Oman. Vice President Ye Shiping and representatives from relevant departments accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

At the symposium, Vice President Ye Shiping extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced our university’s achievements in innovative talent cultivation models, expansion of international cooperation, and smart campus development. He particularly shared our university’s practical experience in empowering teaching and management through artificial intelligence technologies. Vice Minister Majid Al-Bahri outlined Oman’s priority areas for advancing educational digitalization and spoke highly of our university’s pioneering experience in smart education. He expressed hope for deepening cooperation through faculty and student exchanges and joint project development. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics including the development of digital educational resources, the integration of AI technologies into classroom teaching, standards for smart campus construction, and the digitalization of educational management.

Following the symposium, the delegation visited the Information Technology Achievements Cultural Corridor, the Medicine Engineering and Information Research Institute, and the new-generation smart classrooms. The guests fully learned about our university’s digital transformation achievements and experienced firsthand the innovative application of AI technologies in classroom instruction, interactive feedback, and intelligent resource delivery. Members of the delegation remarked that our university’s experience in digital scenario development, data-driven management, and the enhancement of digital literacy among faculty and students provided valuable and practical reference pathways for Oman’s digital transformation in education.

This exchange has established a cooperative bridge between China and Oman in fields such as educational digitalization, smart campus development, and teacher professional development. The university will continue to deepen educational digital innovation and expand international educational cooperation, contributing wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of higher education.
