Recently, the 2026 World Digital Education Conference, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, was held in Hangzhou, attracting more than 1,300 Chinese and international participants. In accordance with the tasks assigned by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, our university, coordinated by the Office of General Administration and the Office of International Affairs, with the joint efforts of multiple departments, successfully completed all reception and support services for domestic and international guests, including campus visits, conference participation, and site visits.
Dedicated Task Force Ensured Meticulous Reception Services
The university established a dedicated task force headed by Vice President Chen Jun, with 20 staff members assigned to provide full-process liaison and reception services during the conference. Adhering to the principles of being “careful, refined, and exceptional”, the task force successfully completed reception and transportation arrangements for a total of 15 guests in 3 domestic delegations and 6 international delegations, including representatives from the Cook Islands, New Zealand, and Belarus. Vice President Chen Jun and Deputy Party Secretary Liao Huayue led teams to the airport to welcome key guests. Liaison officers were on standby at all times and accompanied guests throughout their stay, receiving unanimous praise from all attendees.


Warm Welcome and Multi-Dimensional Presentation of University Achievements
During the conference, our university hosted campus visits for six groups of domestic and international delegates, including the Minister of Education of the Cook Islands, the Consul General of Belarus in Shanghai, the Director-General of the Educational Technology Division of the Ministry of Education of Singapore, representatives from the Waikato Institute of Technology (New Zealand), the Vice Minister of Education of Oman, and the Director-General of the Education Department of Shandong Province. President Li Lu, along with Vice Presidents Chen Jun, Ye Shiping, and Yu Haibiao, received the guests on separate occasions. The delegates experienced firsthand our university’s achievements in smart campus development, digital teaching resources, and the integration of medicine, engineering, and information technology. They spoke highly of the university’s digital transformation and educational outcomes.



Participation in Frontier Discussions to Advance Digital Transformation in Education
While fulfilling the reception duties, our university also actively participated in various sessions of the conference. Vice President Ye Shiping and representatives from the Office of Scientific Research attended the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as parallel forums. In addition, our university organized faculty members specializing in artificial intelligence to attend on-site exhibitions and academic exchanges at the International Expo Center, where in-depth discussions were conducted on new approaches to integrating artificial intelligence with academic disciplines.


Taking the conference as an important opportunity, our university will continue to deepen the development of a smart and digitally empowered campus, further expand international exchange and cooperation, and inject stronger momentum into the high-quality development of our university.
